Cycling in the Outer Hebrides is a delight. Quiet roads, stunning coastal scenery, turquoise, white sandy beaches, delightful local cuisines and plenty of fresh air. During this trip you’ll ride the entire length of the Hebrides, from Vatersay in the South to the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse at the very northernmost tip of the Isle of Lewis. Along the way you’ll experience peaceful island life, encounter an abundance of wildlife, visit some fascinating cultural heritage sites and get to sample some local delicacies including a wide variety of seafood, locally grown produce and of course a wee dram of local whisky or two (or gin if you prefer!).

Overview

Cycle the length of the Outer Hebrides in just three days ride. This an incredible cycling journey through a series of unique islands that have to be seen to be believed. Expect jaw-dropping white sandy beaches, peaceful and quiet country lanes, delightful local produce and unrivalled Hebridean hospitality. Our route joins up this stunning chain of islands off the west coast of Scotland and includes no less than four ferry crossings! Our journey begins and ends in Inverness, an incredible voyage through an area of the UK that should definitely be on your cycling bucket list.
